International Cover-up: One Fine Day

Before I make the switch to Cubase I thought I’d record one last song with my current DAW which is Guitar Tracks Pro 4 (DAW stands for Digital Audio Workstation and basically means “the program you use to record your music”). You may or may not be familiar with the 60s girl group The Chiffons. Yes? No? Kind of? Maybe you are, maybe you actually own their entire back catalogue and just want to keep your sexuality from being questioned.

Nevertheless I thought I’d attempt a bit of a cover of their hit ‘One Fine Day’. I dunno why I thought it was a good idea, maybe it’s my giant set of man ovaries talking, but I did. The original was a bit too gay though so I had to dirty it up a little. It might not sound like it but the chords are the same as the original although I did exercise my artistic license for the melody. It’s also significantly shorter but hey, what’re you gonna do.

First the original…

and now the Son, you’re adopted version…
